Rahu/Ketu transits

Lunar nodes (also called Rahu and Ketu) will be stationed at 20 degrees from now to end of December 2011. Anybody with rising degree within +/- 2 degrees of 20 degrees or a natal planet afflicted within +/- 2 degrees of by Lunar nodes are going to face tremendous stress in different areas of life! Some of us might already be feeling the effect.

All charts are different so the influence will be different. But it can be safely said that affected people will face stress and problems in different areas of life. If you are running a main/sub period of weak planets bad influence shall be enhanced and similarly if you are running main/sub period of strong planets, bad effect will be less. Similarly if any planet in natal chart is at 29 degrees and Rahu/Ketu are transiting over that planet or are having an aspect on that planet the general and particular significations of that planet will suffer.

Effect of Mercury's transit at ~8° in May 2010

Mercury is almost stationed at 8 and 9 degrees in Aries from May 6th to May 17th 2010. And it will be 8 degrees May 9th to May 14th. Mercury normally is a fast-moving planet. For Aries, Libra and Aquarius Mercury is Malefic while for all other ascendant it is a benefic planet.

What it means is that if your ascendant is Aries, Libra or Aquarius and rising degree of your ascendant is within 5 degrees of 8 degree i.e., if it is from 3 degrees to 13 degrees, it may give you stress in different areas of life like health issue for you and/or spouse,  mental stress, trouble in foreign lands, trouble in business etc etc depending upon the ascendant and your natal chart. While for other ascendants, it will give good  results if rising degree of ascendant lies within 3 to 13 degrees. Closer it is to 8 degrees, more intense the effect(good or bad).

If you have Aries, Libra and Aquarius ascendant, you should do propitiation of Mercury. Propitiation of Mercury can be done by doing any/all of following if possible:

1. Helping poor students and needy children.
2. Donating to orphanages, twice a year.
3. Offering green fodder (about 2 Kg) to a cow.
4. Donating green pulses.

Jupiter enters Pisces on 2nd May, 2010, and it will be staying there up to 8th May, 2011, except between 2nd November, 2010, to 5th December, 2010, when it appears to be in Aquarius in its apparent retrograde motion.

Depending upon the natal strength of Jupiter the impact of Jupiter in Pisces with varying degrees of influences for various ascending signs is likely to be as under :

1. ARIES - It brings the incidence of travel, expenses, celebrations and relocation in distant places. In some cases the move may be necessitated with a view of earnings. Businessmen may open their offices in foreign lands. Strengthening of Jupiter helps and is recommended.

It is likely to bring spiritual initiation and progress. It is likely to bring marriage for the unmarried boys/girls. Strengthening of Jupiter is recommended.

4. CANCER - It brings in impatience, obstructions and conflicts. It gives new challenges. The lack of patience can cause conflicts and injuries. When close to MEP it brings health problems, conflicts in relationships including with parents. Continuous propitiation of Jupiter is recommended.

5. LEO - It brings in the incidence of obstructions in professional/academic knowledge. Students may find concentration difficult. Child will need more support. Strengthening of Jupiter is recommended.

6. VIRGO - It brings some amount of relief in the continued stress. Up to September, 2010, one has to take care to maintain mental peace. Parents become helpful to the native. Some of you may relocate or visit foreign lands.Strengthening of Jupiter is recommended.

7. LIBRA - One needs to exercise lot of patience to avoid conflicts / disputes. Health needs extra care. Businessmen needs lot of care. Investments may show losses or stagnation. Strengthening of Jupiter is recommended.

8. SCORPIO - Good financial gains through professional success, new opportunities and investments are expected. Handle delays and obstructions with patience. Strengthening of Jupiter is recommended.
